"I'm so proud to be a member [of SAG]. I've been a member since 2001, and so now I finally feel like I'm part of the family.

The acting couple do have one child together.

They welcomed their daughter Kyra Monique Kotsur on September 8, 2005.

Troy told NPR that his daughter actually inspired a scene in the film CODA.

 In one scene of the film, the actor rests his hands on his on-screen daughter's neck to feel the vibrations of her voice.
