Azealia Banks Controversial Wild N Out Episode Surfaces: Ive Never Felt So Much Ha

Publish date: 2024-06-15

In July, we shared a message from Azealia Banks after she taped an episode of “Wild ‘N Out,” and she accused one the cast members of insulting her with a colorist joke that made her cry.

On Friday (Aug. 24) a preview of the episode was released, and although you don’t see Banks’ full reaction, you can see her get annoyed, and some might say instantly hurt. It all happened once the comedian DC Young Fly delivered his joke in a segment called “So Petty.”

“My boy Nick Cannon is so petty, he couldn’t get Cardi B so he got Azealia’s ugly ass,” he said, which Banks quickly responded to.

“Sorry, can I just say that was very anti-Black,” she said. “I didn’t think that was funny.”

After she left the set, Banks tore into the cast members and accused everyone of blindsiding her with the “So Petty” segment.

“I did ‘Wildin’ Out’ today,” she wrote. “There were tons of pre-planned colorist jokes and of course …. cry baby cried. Some little scrawny Black Atlanta twink was prepared for me. They planned this, hit me on short notice, told me I didn’t have to participate in the coon ass freestyle battles, (not my style) and I was to sing my song and go home.”

“I show up and some guy who’s darker than me starts calling me ugly and being colorist,” Banks added. “I’ve never felt so much hate and rage for anyone else than I did in that moment. Yemaya was really on stage.”

But the rapper might’ve saved her harshest words for Cannon since she poked fun at his health condition, which he later responded to.

Banks hasn’t responded to the internet chatter surrounding the released clip, but she did post it to her Twitter page, so it seems she still wants people to tune in.
