Aysel Teymurzadeh is an Azerbaijani pop and R&B singer. She represented Azerbaijan at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third. She is also known as AySel.
Aysel is the daughter of a journalist and a university professor. She is married to Murad Adigozalov, who is director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society. The couple has three children.
She is said to be a descendant of journalist and intellectual Hasan bey Zardabi (born Hasan bey Salim bey oghlu Malikov), who founded Akinchi, the first Azerbaijani-language newspaper, in 1875.
Her maternal grandmother was of Russian and Ukrainian descent.
